Leo Carillo State Beach is beautiful. It took my breath away. I had a lovely afternoon photographing Junwen and Christine, who reminded me that the perspective of love always involves a fresh take on everything. It makes the beach beachy-er and the water bluer--definitely the stuff of hopeless romantics.

It was a beautiful day for an engagement session at the Santa Monica Pier! I love the pop of red that Sara wore, it was quite befitting of her, pretty with a bit of sass. George was a gentleman too; the way he looked at Sara and I knew that she was in the good hands, that of a gentleman.

Happy summer! Happy sunshine, and happy Southern California weather. I had the honor of spending a portion of Yvonne and Chris's fourth year anniversary by celebrating their special day with pictures. Yvonne and I totally connected from the beginning, with the both of us going into our fourth year of marriage, our husbands both in the field of law, and the both of us in professions that are more on the whimsical side (Von is in the party planning business).
We spent half of our time at Carbon Beach, next to the Malibu Beach Inn, and then we ended up at Malibu Lagoon State Beach where Yvonne set up an intimate anniversary dinner for Chris. The things we do when we truly love-- it never ceases to amaze me.
